SERMON SERIES OVERVIEW
The story of Jonah is about far more than a man and a great fish. It is the story of a reluctant prophet who runs from God's call and a relentless God who refuses to stop pursuing lost people.
Jonah hated the Ninevites. He didn't want them to experience God's grace - he wanted them to experience God's judgment. But God loved Nineveh enough to send His word to them, even through a prophet who didn't want to go.
Over four weeks, we'll walk chapter by chapter through Jonah and ask an uncomfortable question: Are we more like Jonah than we realize? We may say we believe the gospel is for everyone, but what does it say about us when we remain silent with our neighbors, avoid people who are different from us, or ignore the billions around the world who have little or no access to the gospel?
Jonah reminds us that God's heart is for the nations. He sends His people across streets, cultures, and borders so that others might hear the good news and experience His mercy.
