LAUNCHING JANUARY
This 12-month leadership development curriculum is designed for men and women within the church body who sense a calling to serve and lead—not in title, but in spiritual maturity, biblical knowledge, and Christlike character. It is for those who desire to grow in their understanding of the gospel, be shaped by the Word of God, and live out their faith more intentionally in the context of community, service, and mission.
Through prayerful study, guided reading, and consistent discussion, participants will be equipped to lead by example—not through positions of authority, but through lives marked by humility, integrity, and a deep love for Jesus and His church.
WHAT TO EXPECT
HCI is a 12 month guided discipleship growth program that will include 12 books selected by our pastors. The reading and the discussion will be challenging. Expect monthly gatherings to discuss material and hear from speakers. You’ll work independently and within a cohort. Our goal is help you grow in Gospel understanding and application, grow in spiritual disciplines, gain a deeper understanding of Height’s vision, and respond to what God is calling you to.
WHAT THIS PROGRAM IS NOT
This curriculum is not a pathway to eldership or any other leadership title.
Participation does not guarantee any formal position or recognition within the church structure.
This journey is not for the purpose of status, prestige, or platform, but for deeper discipleship.
COST
The cost for the program is simply the cost of the books. Currently we estimate the cost to be around $150 if purchased all at one time. Heights has a vendor to purchase books in bulk and our goal is to provide the books to you at the first meeting.
MONTHLY GATHERINGS
We will gather as a group on the 4th Friday of each month starting January 23rd, 2026. The gatherings will generally last around an hour and a half starting at 6:30pm at Heights Community Church. Attendance at each gathering isn’t required, however you should make every effort to prioritize these gatherings.
COHORTS
Cohorts will be a key part of HCI as we progress through the year. Cohort sizes should be between 6-10 people and should meet periodically through the month. These are not scheduled or prescribed gatherings, however you will not get as much out of this if you are not part of a healthy cohort.
WHO SHOULD SIGN UP?
HCI is not limited to Covenant Members or regular attenders of Heights. The curriculum is designed for believers at any point in their spiritual maturity. Our desire is for this program to be open to all.
*If a Heights Student wishes to participate this would need to be approved on a case-by-case basis by the pastors of Heights Community Church with consultation from the Directors of Heights Students and their MC leader.
